These quick cupid’s-arrow valentines can find their way into your friends’ hearts on Valentine’s Day. We used pink straws, but any color will do.

Pro tip: It’s easier to write a message on the valentine before sliding the paper onto the drinking straw. And when it’s not Valentine’s Day, use the same method to make a striking birthday card.

What to Do

  1. For each arrow, draw a heart and a feather on colored or patterned paper and cut them out. 

    Cutting heart and feather shapes from paper.
  2. Cut two slits into the center of each piece, as shown.

  3. Slide the heart and feather through the slits, onto opposite ends of a drinking straw.

  4. Write your message on the tip and feather of the arrow.
