Paint a vase on a sheet of cardboard. Let it dry. Decorate with stickers

With an adult’s help, use a pencil or other pointed object to poke holes above the vase.

Cut out a triangular piece of cardboard. Glue it to the back of your vase painting to make a stand. Let it dry.

Add the flowers by sticking the stems through the holes.
Extend the Fun
For younger kids
Make this cardboard flower vase craft interactive! Go for a nature walk at a local park to look for flowers and foliage to fill your child’s vase. Decide on a color theme and gather as many stems of that color as you can. Or, research local wildflowers ahead of time and see how many you can find on your walk.
For older kids
As the flowers in your child’s vase begin to wilt, preserve them for future craft projects by pressing them. Simply place the flowers between two pieces of tissue paper, and then cover them with several heavy books. Leave the pile undisturbed for 2 to 4 weeks, until the flowers are completely dry. Experiment to find the best selection of flowers that retain their vibrant color.
